With an intention to invest in a spandex factory, Hyosung Corporation India’s project team is researching about a potential Indian company. The company is also expanding its team to serve users with more effective and efficient service. It plans to make inroads into the denim market and has recently introduced Creora Fresh, an anti-odour spandex.

“Our project team is studying a potential Indian factory. We do intend to invest in a spandex factory in India. We are expanding our team to serve our users with more effective and efficient service,” JG Lim, director of Hyosung Corporation India said.

“During the last few months, hot keyword in the fashion market was athleisure (athletic + leisure). It bridges the gap between regular wear and apparel for exercising in. Anti-odour could be a sensation in this segment,” he added.

Creora Fit2, an innovation in two-way stretch denim, was launched by Hyosung in order to meet the consumer needs for the perfect fit and comfort. Some denim mills in India are currently testing this item.

“We see continued growth in spandex penetration in woven and denim segments to meet consumer demand for comfort, so that is a key market for us. We also see growth in active wear and athleisure markets, which are lifestyle-oriented,” Lim said.
