Digitally Printed Textiles To Grow At 28%

The output of digitally printed textiles is expected to grow at a CAGR of 28.1 per cent in terms of volume between 2015 and 2020.

The demand for digital textile printing (DTP) will be driven by several factors, including better flexibility and high creativity, cost advantage in short run cycles, more eco-friendly process than traditionally used analog printing methods, and significantly reduced response time, a recent report by Fibre2Fashion said.

DTP is primarily used for printing applications in the textiles industry. The report is segmented into four major applications of the DTP namely textiles & clothing applications, home textiles applications, soft signage applications, and others. The report also identifies output of DTP in four key geographical regions—Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and Rest of World.

The report also identifies key players across the value chain, and profiles them in detail mentioning their recent strides in this field. Companies from Japan, Israel, the US, the Netherlands, Singapore, China, Italy, and India are among those profiled.
