On 23rd June 2014, the Clothing Manufacturers association of India (CMAI) organized the “59th National Garment Fair ” at Bombay Exhibition Center, NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai. This fair was inaugurated by Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the Minister of Textiles, Govt. of India. This fair was held between 23rd June to 25th June 2014. In the inaugurating ceremony of this fair, The Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Smt. Zohra Chatterji was also seen.
About Clothing Manufacturers Association of India:
The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is the most representative association of the Indian Apparel Industries. It’s membership base is around 20,000 companies, which includes Ready made Garment manufacturers, Textile manufacturers, Retailers, Exporters, etc. this Association is interacts with the Government on matters of policies like sales tax, VAT, etc. which impact on the Industrial Industries in India.
About 59th National Garment Fair:
59th National Garment Fair in Mumbai, was India’s Largest Apparel Trade Show which was organized with over 600 Stalls which was spread over 5 halls. The main aim of this Garment fair was to organize the “Business Networking Sessions” between the Exhibitors of Men, Ladies and Children Garments and the National Chain Stores, Hogh Street Retailers and Agents & Distributors. This Business Networking Session is a platform which was created for Exhibitors to get themselves introduced with the High Street Retailers Agents and Distributors , National Chain Stores to discuss , interact, present to them their products, Brochures and invite them to visit their stalls at the National Garment Fair.

- Business Networking Session with Agents and Distributors – Monday, 23rd June 2014
- Business Networking Session with High Street Retailers – Tuesday, 24th June 2014
- Business Networking Session with National Chain Stores – Wednesday, 25th June 2014
Fashion Shows:
59th National Garment Fair was also included the Fashion shows the “Fashion Fiesta Fashion Shows” on 23rd, 24th and 25th June 2014. On 23rd June, the timing of Fashion show was 4.00 PM to 7.00 PM and on 24th June, the Fashion show was held between 4.00 PM to 7.00 PM. In those fashion shows, different textile and fashion companies of India, shown their Products with proper and fantastic preparation. Fashion show was the eye catching point in this fair.
Stalls in Garment Fair:
In 59th National garment Fair, there were over 600 stalls spread on 5 halls at Bombay Exhibition Center, NSE Complex, Mumbai. Hall 1 was for Only Men’s apparels. Hall V was for Kid’s apparels and Hall VI for Women Apparels. They were all contained with number of stalls of different apparels of different Garment Companies, different brands.
This National Garment Fair was amazing. Thanks to CMAI for this awesome event. This is a great platform in which Different textile industries get in contact with different High Street Retailers, Agents and Distributors and National Chain Stores.
