39 New Talents To Participate In Lakmé Fashion WeekAround 39 upcoming Indian and foreign design talents will showcase their creativity under the ensuing edition of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2015’s “Emerging Designers and Jabong stage platforms”.

Local names like Aiman Agha and Armaan Randhawa (New delhi), Anushree Reddy (Hyderabad), Divya Sheth (Kolkata), Kunal Anil Tanna (Mumbai) and Quirkbox by Rixi Bhatia and Jayesh Sachdev from Pune will display their latest creations at the Emerging Designers showcase.

Another international newcomer label named Patine by Shon Randhawa (London) will also highlight its creations under the event’s India Textile and Handloom category.

Speaking on the new young designers’ lists, Purnima Lamba, head of innovations, Lakmé, said, “Lakmé Fashion Week is the definitive platform for nurturing and grooming emerging talent in the country. Lakmé Fashion Week is known for showcasing the most innovative design talent in the country.”

“Every year the advisory board scouts for the best pool of budding fashion talents, who will leave their mark on the fashion landscape. This season too we have an interesting mix of designers who will showcase their collections as an introduction to the fashion industry,” she said.

“The event has been instrumental in integrating India into the global fashion scene, since 2006. The increasing number of entries from international markets across categories reaffirms the platform’s stature in the global market,” organiser sources said.
