H&M which is popular for its Zara brand, is readying to open its first flagship store and its biggest outlet in the country in DLF Mall, Noida, the company said in a statement. The new store would be spread across 4 floors covering an area of 37,000 sq. ft.

The Swedish retailer opened its first outlet in New Delhi’s Select Citywalk mall on October.

“After successful store launches last year, we continue the trend by expanding to some of the most exciting retail destinations across the country with H&M’s business concept of fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way.” Janne Einola, company’s country manager, said.

H&M had in December 2013 received approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board to invest Rs 720 crore in India, becoming one of the biggest foreign investors in single brand retailing in the country.

The company has said it plans to open 50 stores in India to tap into the country’s growing demand for global fashion labels.

The brand will also open stores in Bengaluru, Gurgaon and Mumbai this year, company sources said.
