“The Prime Minister wants to give special attention to north-eastern states for development and Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA) Scheme was also launched for the direct connectivity of the weavers so that they could be easily identified for International Exhibition. Additionally, she informed that for textile promotion in the state, the Central Government has sanctioned Rs.200 crores,” she added.

The inaugural function was also attended by Dr. Th. Meinya Singh, MP, Govindas Konthoujam, minister, L. Lakher, Principal Secretary and I John B. Tlangtin Khumma, director, Commerce and Industries, Govt. of Manipur and other officers from the central government.
