Centre Raises Cotton MSP By Rs 50/Quintal

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has increased minimum support price (MSP) for cotton for the 2015-16 season by Rs 50 per quintal. For medium staple cotton, the MSP has been hiked to Rs 3,800 per quintal in 2015-16 from Rs 3,750 per quintal in the previous season.
