H&M to Open its third outlet in India

Swedish fashion retailer Hennes and Mauritz AB ( H&M ) plans to open a 30,000 square feet store in the upcoming VR Bengaluru mall in Whitefield.

H&M is the anchor tenant in the mall being developed by Virtuoso Retail that is expected to open in the last quarter of 2015.

The store will be H&M’s third outlet in India after its first two stores in Delhi, the first at Select Citywalk mall in Saket, which is set to open on October 2, and the second being planned at Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj. The first store will be spread across 25,000 sq ft over two floors.

VR Bengaluru, being developed by India’s largest institutionally owned developer-operator of lifestyle shopping centres, will have 1.5 million sq ft campus, with 600,000 sq ft of retail, entertainment and leisure space, featuring over 200 outlets, making it among the biggest malls in south India.
