Good Turnout at Gartex 2017

Around 18,000 visitors attended the ‘Gartex 2017’, a trade show on digital textile printing, embroidery and garment machinery concluded yesterday with recording a significant business deals. However, the visitors were expecting more exhibitors in segments such as garment machinery, fabric and accessory. The embroidery segment virtually dominated the show with the display of multi-head embroidery machines ranging from 18 heads to 90 heads. This shows the inclination of the market towards large embroidery machines, a spokesperson of a manufacturing company said.

The three-day event also observed the increasing popularity of digital printing. Various technology companies like Mimaki India, Epson India, DCC Prints Vision, Negi Sign Systems, ColorJet India and Apsom Technologies that offer digital printers for textiles, signage, home textiles, etc., presented the latest machinery in this segment under the theme ‘DigiTex’.

The key factor behind such an impressive turnout was expansion plans of the companies that attended the fair. Companies like process house Color n Style (Noida) is investing in printing technology; jackets supplier for the domestic market, Kundan Lal & company (Delhi) is planning to do in-house production as it currently outsources for the stitching process. Both the companies were exploring latest technology at Gartex.

Organiser of the fair, Gaurav Juneja, director at MEX Exhibitions said, “We are very much satisfied with the event as exhibitors gave us good feedback about the quality of visitors. Our next edition will be even bigger and have more variety in terms.”
