AmazonAmazon India Couture Week 2015, a five-day fashion event will take place at New Delhi’s Taj Palace Hotel from July 29, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has announced today.

The event, in association with jewellery brand Sunar, will be a massive display of beautiful clothes and exclusive off-site shows by leading designers for a visual treat, FDCI in a statement said.

“This year, we have an impressive list of outstanding designers who will showcase their work setting an unparalleled benchmark of diversity and creativity raising the standard of style at India Couture Week. We are delighted to present 11 vibrant shows in alliance with our title sponsor Amazon.in. We see this relationship as a new avenue for fashion designers wanting to connect with their digitally savvy customers,” Sunil Sethi, president, FDCI said.

The fashion week will begin with designer Sabyasachi showcasing his creations on July 29. It will be the turn of Rahul Mishra and Gaurav Gupta on the following day. Anju Modi and Monisha Jaising are scheduled to unveil their designs on July 31.

In the late evening, the high profile Rohit Bal will hold an off-site show.
On the concluding day, Manav Gangwani is scheduled to stage his show in the afternoon while top designer Manish Malhotra will bring the curtain down on the event with an off-site show in the evening.
